As part of the launch of the Community Investment Support Grants activities, the Djohong Municipality, in partnership with the Local Governance and Resilient Communities Project (PROLOG), conducted outreach in thirty (30) Village and Neighborhood Committees (CV/CQ) to carry out the identification and prioritization of needs for the community selected for the first wave, from January 8 to 13, 2025.
The outreach team was composed as follows:
-
Madam Inna Florence Bobo, Secretary General, Head of Mission
-
Mr. Torra Bell, Municipal Executive, Member
-
Mr. Sali, Community Leader, Member
-
Mr. Bouba Eric, Executive in Charge of Communities, Member
-

The outreach began on January 8 to allow the team to start the assembly with the most remote localities. Thus, in accordance with the schedule drawn up for the occasion, the outreach covered all thirty (30) localities planned for this first wave. Simultaneously, some localities that were not originally concerned by this first wave were also included.
The working method was the same for all committees. It involved, in a first phase:
-
Sensitizing the communities on the generalities concerning the CV/CQs.
-
Presenting the grant allocation methods according to the PROLOG context.
-
Presenting the generalities on Climate Change as well as Climate Risk Assessments.
-
Presenting the project identification form.
And finally, proceeding with the identification and prioritization of projects previously identified by the entire community without distinction of gender, class, or age.
After this phase, the projects selected and prioritized by the unanimity of the communities were recorded on flip charts, then posted on the tripod board and read aloud by the secretary of each CV/CQ to ensure public satisfaction.
At the end of each stage, messages of thanks from the community leaders and family photos concluded the village assemblies.
