It is understood that a falling tree makes more noise than a growing forest. When several trees fall, the noise becomes a cacophony and uproar. It is therefore fitting to give due credit to the growing forest.
The unfortunate and deeply regrettable events that unfolded in the capital of the Mbéré Department, beginning with a gendarme slapping a truck driver, should not obscure the reality on the ground here. Firstly, this gendarme who slapped a truck driver is not from a unit in Mbéré. Truck drivers come, perform their duties, and return to where they came from.
The Mbéré Gendarmerie Company is currently commanded by Captain Emmanuel DJONGA. Regarding the « Army/Nation » concept, as instructed by the high command, he has not only inherited the efforts of his predecessors but has also brought them to a highly satisfactory level. The offices of the various headquarters of the Company, the Platoon, and the Territorial Brigade have been renovated. Approaching them, one is no longer gripped by the panic that previously haunted them. The Platoon’s flagpole even contributes significantly to the beautification of the town. Gone are the days of those units resembling death traps! But even more vibrant and striking are the newly created sports facilities (football, volleyball) where, every day of the week, morning and evening, according to their various schedules, civil servants, employees, students, pupils, and people from all walks of life, without any discrimination, come together in the shared experience of healthy sports.
The Meiganga Volleyball Club was thus born, presided over by Mr. TAKOUA, the Warden of Meiganga Prison, with, among others, Lieutenant ENGUENE Luc, the fuel depot commander, Lieutenant SOULEY, and Chief Warrant Officer EGBE, the « White Lion, » as key figures!
He brings such joy to the Meiganga Volleyball Club that missing training sessions or the Saturday 2-0 victory leaves a strong sense of loss. The volleyball court has been transformed from a clay court into a platform with a surface area that would make any volleyball stadium in the country envious, thanks to the volunteer work of the players and the impetus of Captain DJONGA Emmanuel, Honorary President of the Meiganga Volleyball Club. Beyond this aspect, which is a very important contribution to the development of local populations, and which contributes with all its strength to the Army/Nation synergy, it should be noted with satisfaction that in recent years crime and organized crime have greatly declined in Mbéré in general and in Meiganga in particular.
Whether it’s Military Security, the Public Security Commissariat, the Gendarmerie Brigade, the Special Commissariat, or Territorial Security, the boundaries between the population and the defense and security forces are becoming a distant memory. And from collaboration and synergy, the peace we all yearn for is born.
Life in Meiganga is not reduced to a single blow! Moreover, the Volleyball Company will soon have the great pleasure of hosting several clubs from near and far for the « Christmas Festival. »
